Role Summary

The Skilled Trades Coordinator will provide routine clerical/administrative support to the skilled trades function.  This position will be responsible for recording employee data, responding to routine questions, and gathering and filing or processing information.  All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

  • Autonomy & Decision-Making:  Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

SKILLED TRADES COORDINATOR FAMILY - CORE

  • Processes, verifies, and maintains documentation relating to personnel activities.
  • Records data for each employee and/or applicant such as:  address, pay, performance, location, benefits, etc.  Gathers, organizes, and files personnel records
  • Creates, maintains and updates various databases for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Responds to skilled trade questions on human resources and business policies and procedures
  • Processes employment applications and helps generate appropriate correspondence to applicants
  • Supports the overall craft talent management processes
  • Prepares reports, invoices, forms, letters, and other documents used in the human resources function
  • May register for trade/industry career fairs and overall support of recruiting efforts
  • Manages candidate/applicant process through the use of applicant tracking system
  • Facilitates onboarding process for new employees to include all pre-employment steps, hiring-related paperwork and notifications to relevant departments
  • Coordinates interviews with candidates
  • Coordinates and assists in meeting management
  • Assist in the coordination of training classes
  • Assist in the analysis of various reports in regard to workforce needs
  • Administer and track per diems

  • Fluent in Spanish (Preferred)

Education

  • High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered

Experience

  • 0 -2 years Human Resources or administrative experience (Required)
     

Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
  • Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
