Role Summary
The Risk Coordinator will support the risk management function by administering basic insurance procurement for projects and assisting in support processes for designated lines of business. This position will assist in the project insurance lifecycle, including reviewing and processing claims for projects. This position will work with the company’s insurance carriers, analyzing data and preparing reports and maintaining claims files. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
RISK COORDINATOR - CORE
- Works with internal project and support staff as well as external insurance brokers and vendors to administer and process insurance requests from projects.
- Administers insurance procurement for projects, including collecting information regarding risk needs and coordinating pricing effort with outside brokers, with manager oversight.
- Ensures insurance quotes match company standards by working with outside brokers to develop strategic pricing options with project teams and communicating those pricing options to the project team, with manager oversight.
- Reconciles monthly project reports.
- Supports internal Risk training as needed.
- Reviews and assists on lower-level construction claims, including interaction with insurance adjusters as needed.
- Verifies and analyzes data and prepares reports as necessary.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
- 0-2 years insurance industry experience with emphasis in construction insurance (Preferred)
Working Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- May require periods of overnight travel
- Normal office environment
- Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
- Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder
