Role Summary

The Senior Marketing and Graphics Specialist support increasingly complex marketing activities. This position proactively leads development of project proposals and presentations, to include content development, and manages marketing data, events, programs, and other activities as necessary. All activities are performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn. 

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

  • Develop custom visuals for storytelling purposes for use in technically complex pursuit materials.
  • Actively participate in pursuit process; communicate the team’s win strategy through visual design concepts.
  • Create project-specific pursuit graphics to include milestone schedules, organization charts, matrices, infographics, process diagrams, and logistics and phasing plans.
  • Perform market research and trend analysis to inform design strategies and keep marketing materials fresh and relevant.
  • Lead concept development and production of presentation materials (i.e., PowerPoint or Adobe presentations, brochures, leave-behinds) for project pursuits and other purposes.
  • Partner with pursuit marketer(s) to strategize and create unique marketing collateral, ensuring corporate identity is maintained.
  • Develop and conceptualize winning packaging for printed and interview material.
  • Contribute to and ensure the accuracy of digital assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) System.
  • Develop custom content for the pursuit assets library.
  • Support the national brand as a brand ambassador; follow brand governance and align marketing materials and pursuits with the appropriate messaging, aesthetic, tone, and voice.
  • Gather competitive information and conduct market research to effectively market JE Dunn.
  • Research the company’s competitors and provide analysis.
  • Work closely with corporate creative team to collaborate on brand and template updates.

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

  • Lead marketing responses for large, complex pursuits; manage marketing workflow to include kick-off meetings, work plan formation, outline, and follow-through. 
  • Partner with client solutions to create pursuit win strategies. Track adherence to the strategy throughout the pursuit process. 
  • Develop content (narratives, resumes, project profiles, graphics), proofread, edit, and print/package RFP and RFQ responses.
  • Ensure RFP and RFQ responses are complete, high quality, meet all internal and external expectations, and are submitted on time. 
  • Provide coaching and feedback during preparation for interviews. 
  • Maintain accurate marketing information within the company's CRM system including but not limited to internal personnel resumes, external contact records, and project records. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and/or attend events such as trade shows, conferences, client events, and in-house planned activities. 
  • Lead the development of award submissions to include research, writing, proofreading, and editing submissions. 
  • Lead the development of content for strategic marketing and communications initiatives (internal and external) such as press releases, editorial content, social media and website content, and internal communications.
  • Support the development of marketing campaigns to align with strategic marketing and communications plans and national initiatives.
  • Support development and execution of communications strategies at the national, regional, and local levels. 
  • Capture and edit video assets. 
  • Coordinate and manage project and company photography. 
  • Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards of internal and external client satisfaction by displaying courtesy and sensitivity and promptly responding to client needs. 
  • Manage difficult or emotional client situations promptly and efficiently. 
  • Meet client commitments; recognize and act upon service opportunities. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
  • Familiarity with video editing and animation software applications (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition).
  • Experience with animation and motion graphics and creative visual effects.
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of software, tools, and systems to meet business needs.
  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to obtain information or solve problems in support of the team’s goals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or related field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

 

Experience

  • 5+ Years marketing, communications or public relations experience (Preferred)
  • 5+ Years graphic design experience (Preferred)
  • AEC industry marketing experience (Preferred)

Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
  • Normal office environment
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
  • Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder
