Role Summary
The Rental Account Manager will sell crane and equipment services to customers by speaking with general contractors, contractors, and crane companies and pursuing revenue opportunities. This position will be responsible for providing a quote and obtaining an appropriate rental agreement. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.
- Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
RENTAL ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT FAMILY - CORE
- Pursues equipment and support service opportunities to internal and external business partners through active engagement of new and existing customers.
- Performs frequent calls to internal and external customers to determine current and future equipment needs.
- Increase profitable sales and rental revenue through active sales engagement including cold calls, emails, and routine follow-up to promote the brand and services.
- Develops accurate estimates/quotes for business partners through understanding customer requirements and specifications on rental equipment needed.
- Develops and maintains good customer rapport by providing excellent customer service.
- Resolves customer discrepancies by coordinating with company personnel to ensure timely and accurate execution of paperwork, quotes, billings and other various correspondences.
- Communicates with operations on mobilization, demobilization, site conditions and additional customer requirements relating to their rentals.
- Communicates with the customer in a timely fashion in regards to service requests and any other customer responsibilities related to maintenance and repairs.
- Communicates with operations team to schedule repairs and maintenance on equipment relating to their rentals.
- Responsible for all outstanding Accounts Receivable on their accounts.
- Responsible for maintaining key client relationships to facilitate repeat business.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
- Communication skills, verbal and written – Advanced
- Proficiency in MS Office – Intermediate
- Demonstrated ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
- Ability to learn the operating/accounting system for quoting and scheduling equipment
- Understanding of Blue Hat rental fleet and service offering – Intermediate
- Ability to provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally
Education
- High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
- In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered
Experience
- 3+ years experience in the equipment rental industry (Preferred)
- 3+ years general sales experience (Preferred)
Working Environment
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license required
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- May require periods of overnight travel
- Maintenance facility environment, may be exposed to varying temperatures, moving equipment, noise and exhaust fumes
- Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
- Occasional activity: Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
