Role Summary

The Senior Marketing Specialist will be responsible for increasingly complex marketing activities. This position will proactively lead development of project proposals and presentations, including content development, marketing data management, events, programs and other activities as necessary. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

  • Develops Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Qualification (RFQ) responses, which could include writing, producing resumes and project profiles, setting up meetings, developing graphics, proofreading, making edits and printing/packaging to ensure submission by deadline. 
  • Develops content for presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint or Adobe presentations, brochures, leave-behinds) for project pursuits and other purposes.
  • Develops other unique marketing deliverables as requested, ensuring corporate identity is maintained.
  • Updates marketing information within the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other marketing data systems.
  • Plans and coordinates and/or attends events such as trade shows, conferences, client events and in-house planned activities.
  • Leads and develops award submissions.
  • Captures and edits video assets.
  • Leads the development of internal communications (e.g., project and people announcements).
  • Leads the development of external communications (e.g., social media and website content).
  • Contributes digital assets to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the highest standards of internal client satisfaction by displaying courtesy and sensitivity and promptly responding to internal client needs.
  • Manages difficult or emotional internal client situations promptly and efficiently.   
  • Recognizes and acts upon service opportunities.    

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

SENIOR MARKETING SPECIALIST

In addition, this position will be responsible for:

  • Partners with client solutions and other departments to strategize and create unique marketing collateral, ensuring corporate identity is maintained.
  • Supports the national brand as a brand ambassador; follows brand governance and aligns marketing materials and pursuits with the appropriate messaging, aesthetic, tone and voice.
  • Leads marketing responses for large, complex pursuits; manages marketing workflow to include kick-off meetings, work plan formation, outline and follow through.
  • Partners with client solutions to create pursuit win strategy. Tracks adherence to the strategy throughout the pursuit process.
  • Provides coaching and feedback during preparation interviews.
  • Develops and conceptualizes winning themes for pursuit materials.
  • Coordinates project and company photography.
  • Supports the development and execution of communications strategies at the national, regional and local levels.
  • Gathers competitive information and conducts market research to effectively market the brand.
  • Researches the company’s competitors and provides analysis.
  • Develops custom content for the pursuit narrative assets library.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or related field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

 

Experience

  • 5+ years marketing, communications or public relations experience (Preferred)
  • Prior AEC Proposal Marketing Experience (required)

Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
  • Normal office environment
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
  • Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder
